Private luxury photography studio in London
Kew · Richmond · West London
A discreet, appointment-only studio for couples and individuals. This page tells you what the space is, who photographs you, what happens on the day, and how to book.
A private address
13 Woodman Mews, Kew, Richmond TW9 4AH. Not a walk-in shop. You are given arrival notes after the date is held.
A woman photographer
Julia directs, lights and photographs the session herself. Photo and video can be made in the same booking.
Built for first-timers
Nervous is normal. The changing room, wardrobe and on-the-day consultation exist so you do not have to arrive “camera ready”.
Meet Julia Winter
Julia Winter Studio is a female-led private photography studio in West London. Sessions are created for adults who want boudoir portraits, couples work, artistic nude images, or more adventurous erotic photography and film.
Before photography, Julia spent ten years in the medical and health profession. She works with the body, nudity and vulnerability as a professional, not as a spectator.
Equipment on set includes professional cameras and Multiblitz studio lighting. The look can be soft and romantic, editorial, or explicit.
What clients usually want to know first
- Who else will be in the room? Julia. Additional models only if you book them.
- Do I need experience? No. Posing is guided throughout.
- Can we do photo and video together? Yes, in one session.
- Is there an NDA? Confidentiality agreements are available on request.
A homely townhouse set, professionally lit
The studio sits in a spacious, comfortable environment rather than a bare white box. Domestic rooms in the building can be used on request for bedroom-style or lifestyle frames.
Changing room
A large preparation room with mirrors. This is where you arrive, breathe, and get ready.
Wardrobe & styling
A working wardrobe of lingerie, outfits, shoes and accessories. Hair and makeup can be booked.
Lighting & cameras
Professional stills and motion capture with studio lighting. Soft window-style looks and stronger cinematic lighting are both available.
Sets & furniture
Backdrops, designer furniture, lounge seating and a bedroom-style set.
Themed corners
Accessories and themed areas for glamour, role-play and fetish work when that is part of your brief.
Townhouse rooms
On special request, additional domestic rooms in the building can be used so the work feels like a private residence.
Sessions hosted in this space
Couples
Boudoir portraits, love-scene stills and film, anniversary or “we want a private record of us” sessions. Guided so neither person has to perform for the camera alone.
Individuals
Women’s and men’s boudoir, dating portfolios, body portraits and artistic nude work. Confidence-first direction, including for camera-shy adults.
Art and fantasy briefs
Glamour, implied or full nude art, role-play and fetish themes when requested. The studio is set up for adults who want more than a standard portrait sitting.
Model hire, when you want it
Optional adult model booking can be arranged in advance with a separate deposit. This is never assumed; it is only added when you ask.
From the door to the gallery
Google searches for this page are practical: what do I wear, who will see me, how long is it, what do I leave with. Here is the sequence.
Hold the date
Send the intake / enquiry and pay the studio deposit to reserve the day.
Arrive and settle
Drink, change, look through wardrobe. No audience, no other clients overlapping your slot.
The consultation
A short planning conversation covers mood, boundaries, outfits and whether the session stays romantic, artistic, or more explicit.
Makeover, if booked
Hair and makeup by a beauty professional, typically 1–2 hours for one person, for women and men.
Guided photo & video
Julia directs posing and lighting. Stills and motion can be captured together so you do not book two days.
Edit and delivery
RAW files are processed. You receive a private online gallery, then a set of edited stills and any agreed video.
Privacy is part of the studio design
Sessions are private. Julia photographs and edits the files herself rather than sending work around a large team. Password-protected galleries are used for viewing.
NDA, consent and image-use agreements are available.
Feeling nervous is expected
Most adults walk in carrying the same questions: Will I look foolish. Will I know what to do with my hands.
Tell Julia if you are nervous. The pace can stay slow. You can keep clothes on longer. You can stop a direction. The job of the studio is to make a private record you are proud of, not to push a performance.
